Waldir Calmon, born in Minas Gerais in 1919 had a big band; El Cubanito née Alvaro Francisco de Paula, born in Rio de Janeiro in 1927, had the voice and will to be transformed into a Caribean King. Together they covered Sonora Matancera's 'Cao cao mani picao' and took it to #1.
