Note: Mothers' Day was on Sunday, 12 May 1957. Up until the early 1960s, Brazilians with not much money to spare could always rely on a 78 rpm as a gift to his-her mother on that day. That's why Rio de Janeiro's listing has been topped by two Mothers' Day related singles. Bear in mind Revista do Radio was a very slow vehicle. They only posted their weekly charts 2 or 3 weeks late. That's why you'd have Christmas records in January, Carnaval hits in March, Mothers' Day songs in June and so forth.

Then 'Vicio' went down one notch and stayed at #5 for a staggering 4 weeks - from 18 May 1957 through 15 June 1957. That makes up 8 weeks (2 months) between #4 and #5. Something really peculiar.
