Note: something really fishy must have happened at the offices of Revista do Radio for them to neglect such an important feature of the magazine as its Weekly Charts. Imagine how chaotic the USA recording market would be if Billboard or Cash Box worked in such a fashion!

Italian crooner Domenico Modugno sings at Teatro Record in Sao Paulo from 2 to 6 September 1958. In Rio, he is introduced to Marisa & Dolores Duran and is obviously taken by Marisa's charming personality. Dolores got hold of Modugno's arms and wouldn't let go. Dolores would have less than a month to live. Miss Duran would be found dead in her apartment in Rio on Saturday, 24 October 1959.
Tony Campello's 2nd entry at the RR charts: 'My special angel' b/w 'Louco amor' in which Tony sings in Portuguese for the first time.
